Four intense audit days in November 2023 yielded the desired outcome: Our quality and environmental management system (QEMS) is now certified according to ISO 9001 and 14001.
The audit examined our quality and environmental management system, which is a set of interrelated processes created to ensure that we deliver products and services that meet customer requirements and comply with applicable environmental regulations.
Continual improvement based on best practices
The QEMS integrates best practices for project execution and environmental responsibility and allows us to standardize our processes and improve performance over time. As a continual improvement system, the QEMS is constantly updated based on new learnings.

The environmental aspect
The original quality management system has been expanded over the years to include an environmental management system that has now also been certified. The environmental goals fall into two categories:
• Reducing our own environmental impact by minimizing energy consumption, water usage, and waste production. We also work towards using more renewable energy, recycled materials, and energy-efficient technologies.
• Reducing our customers’ environmental footprint by developing products and services that help them track and manage their use of resources.
“Helping our customers with this is where we can really make a difference. We work with some of the biggest manufacturers within their fields, so reducing their impact matters a lot. And there is no doubt that this is a top priority for them,” says CIM CEO Michel Seidelin.
An excellent Quality Management System
The certification process was handled by CIM QA Manager Dennis Ankjær Thomsen who is very happy with the outcome:
“The auditor used the word ‘excellent’ several times to describe the way we have structured our QEMS and adapted it to the way we work with software projects and products. I think that really says it all.”
