Software Developer with solid Industrial IoT experience

Do you value freedom in your everyday working life and are you passionate about coding that makes a difference to the top of Danish industry and international pharmaceutical companies? Our customers are among the best in their field, and if you are too, then join 50 other cutting-edge developers and become part of CIM. We are currently looking for two C# software developers for our infrastructure and manufacturing IoT group. You choose whether you want to be based in our office in Aarhus, Fredericia or Hørsholm.

About the job

As a software developer with CIM, you create code that moves the world. In fact, our software ensures the data basis for everything ranging from correct assembly of medical devices over testing of hearing aids to minimizing container ship fuel consumption. You will contribute with coding that ensures collection and normalization of machine and measurement data, presentation, and AI-based decision-making.

Our software systems will create value for the next 10+ years, and you will have a key role as a guarantor of their high quality. Based on a solid understanding of the reality in which the systems will operate, you take pride in creating excellent code that can be decoupled and reused between projects, and facilitate maintenance of existing equipment.

You will be working closely with other software developers/architects, engineers, IT and sales consultants. You are typically part of the process right from establishment of the customer’s needs to planning, design, implementation, and testing.

We will define the more specific job contents together based on your interests and competences. Because we work with everything from data collection close to a production line to cloud solutions, you can get your hands on a wide range of technologies — right from low-level communication protocols that need to be optimized and run fast to cloud services in Azure with web front-end and machine learning.

About you

We imagine that you

  • are an experienced developer and one of the best in your field
  • have a relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering (electronics, low voltage, software, mechanics, etc.), or Software Engineering
  • have good communication and collaborative skills and are a strong team player
  • combine business acumen with a secure sense of how best to create value in your work
  • speak and write English at a professional level
  • have experience with project management and agile working methods such as Scrum
  • use some of the technologies (or comparable) that we work with daily:C#/.NET, .NET Core, MS SQL, Azure Cloud and web technologies like ASP.NET, Blazor, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, and Angular.

We encourage anyone qualified to apply for the position regardless of age, gender, religion or ethnicity.

What we offer

Freedom and flexibility

With us, you choose how to organize your 37-hour working week, because we know that you are the expert on what makes you happy and efficient. Whether that means that a 4-day working week, an extended summer vacation, or something else is up to you.

Inspiration and professional development
At CIM, you will be working with complex tasks together with some of the brightest people in your field. We grow together via knowledge sharing and collaboration in teams, and we hold regular hackathons where we experiment with the latest technologies.

A chance to make a difference
Our solutions create real value in a wide range of industries in which they contribute to efficient production with much less waste, reduced carbon emissions, as well as better, safer medicine and industrial products. We are quite proud of that.

The best colleagues
Many of us have been part of CIM for decades, others have just joined us. We all have in common that we are highly competent individualists who also value being part of a team. We go on an annual skiing trip together, and you are more than welcome to join us, whether you are a beginner or a complete pro.

Focus on what is important
We think that your working day should be filled with what you do best: coding. We focus on creating the best framework for precisely that. This means that we keep meetings to an absolute minimum and that time-consuming processes and office politics are something that we actively avoid. The physical settings are spacious and bright — and with a great lunch every day, of course.
